Jesus Christ in its center, was made by Lukácsovits Magda in 1960. The last restoration works took place in the period between 1984-1985. The altar painting was made by Mezei József and it represents King St. Stephen dedicating his crown to the Holy Virgin. The Orthodox Church ofCiumeşti, dedicated to “Archangels St. Michael and Gabriel”, was built in 1794, on the site of an old wooden church. The renovation works were carried out on several occasions, the most important ones being made on the outside dating to 1912 and 1933. Not long ago, the large tower located on the western faţade of the church collapsed, being rebuilt on a smaller scale. The church has a single nave and a polygonal altar. The decoration is simple, realized with the alternation of the cornices with semicircular windows in the upper side. Two of the windows, located at the altar level, were walled up. The most valuable piece of furniture inside the church, is the iconostasis, made during the early 19th century. Its frame is made of fret, skillfully carved wood, painted in gold and white, representing floral and geometric motives.
