STATUTES 1. The basic unit of the party is the Local Organi sation (LO). 2. A Local Organisation is established, if- at least 3 members decide to found it- the founding protocol is sent to the party s Nati onal Board- the Legitimation Document, after the endorse ment of the National Board, is sent back by the Central Office of the party. The LO takes part in the local political life, it gets involved through its deputies in the public life and contributes actively to its development. The LO is a legal entity:- it decides independently about the questions concerning its own functionning- it nominates candidates to the local, regional, district organs, to the Slovak National Council and to the Federal Assembly- it elects its Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Trea surer - (...) 4. paragraph District organs. 1. Local Organisations belonging to a common administration unit (District ) form a District Orga nisation in order to arrange matters on district level. 2.
