Bolvári-Takács Gábor Abstract The Patak Spirit Outside Sárospatak The motifs presented in this study provide further contribution to the functioning of the effect mechanism of the tradition of the Sárospatak history of education. The so-called “Patak Spirit” has prevailed indirectly. In their studies and teaching activities, Patak students with student memories or teaching experiences could not help but positively affect people who would not be related to the town otherwise. In this study I presented how the careers of two world renowned scholars were tied to Sárospatak. Nor philosopher Ágnes Heller or sociologist Tibor Huszár related to Sárospatak by birth, schooling or career, yet at the beginning and later development of their careers specific Sárospatak effects can be detected. 48 Sárospataki Füzetek 18. évfolyam I 2014 I 3
