Dr. István Varga and all the resident artists of Lakehouse West request the pleasure of your company at an exhibition of their original works of art for Lakehouse West’s 20th Anniversary celebration. The show will open Wednesday, April 7,2004 with a wine and cheese reception from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The exhibit will run through Wednesday April 28,2004. István Varga is a member of the Kossuth Club and is a resident artist of Lakehouse West (3435 Fox Run Road, Sarasota, and phone: 941-923-7525). Members of the Kossuth Club are cordially invited. The April Program. On Thursday April 29 at 4:30 PM in the Selby Public Library (1331 First Street, Sarasota) architect William Graff presents an illustrated lecture about Architecture and the Environment Mr. Graff graduated from the Technical University of Budapest and his career took him around the world. Vienna, Rome, Toronto, Boston and Washington, D. C. were important milestones. He is now retired and lives in Sarasota. This lecture will be in Hungarian. The May Program. On Thursday May 27 at 4:30 PM in the Selby Public Library (1331 First Street, Sarasota) landscape architect Ágnes Szabó presents an illustrated lecture about her hometown of Szabadka, a historic Hungarian town in Voivodina. Ms. Szabó earned her diploma in 2001 at St. Stephen University in Budapest and is currently an associate of RMPK Group, a landscape design firm in Sarasota. Please consider giving a tax-deductible donation for the benefit of the Hungarian Bolyai School in Szabadka, a preparatory school where pupils are coached in mathematics and physics for international competitions. It is one of several Hungarian minority schools in the Carpathian Basin that the Kossuth Club supports with scholarships and grants. Donations may be given in person, or sent by mail. Please make out your check to the Kossuth Club, identify on the memo the „Bolyai School” and mail it to our address at P. O. Box 19774, Sarasota, FL 34276. We thank you for your generosity!
