entail and fiscalitas. Estates and servants granted to the privileged person by the king were inseparable attachments to the castles, mansions and manor houses. In this respect Hungarian law basically did not change from 1351 to 1848. In the paper an attempt is made to draw up the complex concept of some of the castles, mansions and manor houses in the former Szatmar county at various dates of history. The author enumerates the buildings on the estate, their inventory, the lands and servants that are inseparable from them and all the emoluments - mills, shambles, pubs, shooting, fishery, reeding rights, running a shop and holding markets - which were assigned to each mansion, manor house or castle by the king's grant and the development of the legal system in Hungary.
