S. Nagy Anikó - Babucsné Tóth Orsolya - Szoleczky Emese: Mindenütt hódít. Reklám a nagy háborúban (1914–1918) (Budapest, 2009)
UDVERNSEMENTS From the very outset the government sought to heavily involve the population in financing military and war expenditures, in the form of war loans and the issuing of small denominated state bonds. Eight war loan bonds were issued in Hungary during the Great War. The first call was published as early as 14 th of November 1914, and the first five subscriptions sapped almost the entire savings stock of the population. By 1917 the state encouraged the troops fighting on the front to buy war loans, by means of offering generous leaves. Entertainment industry advertisements flourished even during the most critical period. Bars and cabarets, cinemas operated and mushroomed amid the starkest deprivation. The audiences included the military suppliers and black marketeers turned into millionaires. Földes Imre: Tavaszi Részvénysör megérkezett [plakát] Imre Földes: Spring Stock Beer arrived (poster]
