ARCHITECT RUBER'S BATHHOUSE PLAN AROUND 1800, IN ORIENTAL STYLE The bathhouse, as a private outdoor pavilion was a decorative element of the 18th century English garden and it could be designed in different styles. If we take a look at the early reports we can see that there was a bathhouse in every bigger garden as an accessory. Jean Charles Kraft, an architect from France, showed different kinds of bathhouses from those, designed in exotic style to the ones, designed in historical style. This topic was also well-known in Germany that proved the popular magazine of Johann Gottfried "Ideen Magazin für Liebhaber Englischer Garten (Design ideas for English Gardens) published between 1796 and 1811. Architect Röber, oriental design for a bathhouse covered by a big dome, was a good example for the interest for the oriental bath architecture. EGYIPTOMI STÍLUSÚ FÜRDŐHÁZ, MONTBÉLIARD, (KELET-FRANCIAORSZÁG) Jean Charles Krafft könyvében összegyűjtötte Franciaország, Anglia és Németország legfestőibb kertjeit, legjellemzőbb kis léptékű építészeti alkotásait, azok között is néhány különleges fürdőpavilont. Mömpelgard herceg kertjében (Montbéliard) található egy kis „egyiptomi fürdőpavilon", amely fürdőházként és biliárdteremként is szolgált. Az építmény belső kialakítása három táblán tanulmányozható részletesen. Az alaprajzok, metszetek és nézetek mellett külön figyelmet kapott a díszítés és színezés. „A díszítést tizenkét, szép vörös kváderkövekből faragott egyiptomi múmia adja, alapjuk gyöngykék stukkó, a hieroglifák fehérek. A párkány körös-körül sárga és fehér. A színek változatossága szép hatást ad." Egyiptomi díszítő elemeket alkalmaztak már 1769-ben Schwetzingenben is (Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg), azért hogy a tereknek talányosságot, titokzatosságot kölcsönözzenek. A makettet Jakob Fahlbusch és Johannes Ruppert készítette.
