Fürdők – Fürdőhelyek, Magyarország fürdőépítészete (Budapest, 2008)
A narrow corridor led to the real "Salle de Bains", which was a barrel vault hall with two apses. These apses were covered by half-domes and they each had special, oval-shaped bath tubs, exactly the same on both sides as we would look in a mirror. The gallery ended in a channel in front of the establishment, where the guests could get in a boat or they had to turn back. The design and the ornaments refer to freemason connections and relations. 2 Leo von Klenze: Plan of the Schonfeld bath house, 1809 PLAN OF THE SCHONFELD RESIDENCE, NEAR KASSEL, 1809 The park of the Shonfeld manor-house is another example for the empire style planned but finally not built bath houses of the aristocracy. The bathhouse was designed by Leo von Klenze for the order of Jerome Napoleon, who was the king of Westphalia between 1809 and 1813. It was a place with a spring and a pool that could be heated, where the sovereign could hide and rest. Klenze called the place "cassin" which really deserved that name, as it had a cage style and it could be used as a smaller casino or some other place for special services, where the bathing was involved. The model was made by Regine Schwenkedel and Cynthia Widmann.
