Mária Valéria naplójából megtudhatjuk, hogy Erzsébet királyné Erzsébet nevű unokájának 1892-ben történt keresztelőjén a feketét levetve bézs színű ruhát viselt. így hát valószínűsíthető, hogy övé volt a ruha, de nem bizonyítható. A restaurálás során a leheletvékony forgófonalas selyemszövet (gaze) teljes felülete alá crêpeline-szövet került, melyet a csíkok mentén varrtam végig apró fércelőöltéssel. A lyukaknál a gaze csíkozottságát utánozva szőttem be a látszó crêpeline-t. A derék és a szoknya alatt levő bézs színű selyemdüsessz bélés menthetetlenül porlik szét, ezért új düsesszből készítettem el az új béléseket. Erzsébet királyné merényletkor hordott ruhadereka a Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum tulajdona, ezért már korábban lehetővé vált egy hiteles, Sisi-formájú bábu készítése. Egy ilyen bábu készült ehhez a ruhához is. Mária Kralovánszky Restoring Queen Elizabeth's dress In 2003 a dress attributed to Queen Elizabeth of Hungary was auctioned in Munich. Originally it was dated 1889, but it was not considered authentic based on its characteristics and the fact that "Sissy" only wore black in that period. After some fashion-historical research it was stated that the dress was made in 1892. From the diary of Princess Mária Valéria we learn that, casting off black, Queen Elizabeth wore a beige dress at the christening of her granddaughter Elizabeth. So, even if it is not proven, it is highly probable that the dress was made for the Queen. During restoration crêpeline cloth was placed under the whole surface of the fine gauze cloth, which I sew on along the stripes with small tacking stitches. At the holes I wove in the visible creplin so as to imitate the stripes of the gauze. The silk duchess lining under the waist and the skirt was breaking up beyond repair, so I made new lining out of new duchess. The bodice of Queen Elizabeth worn at the time of her assassination is the property of the Hungarian National Museum, so it was possible to produce an authentic Sissy-formed dummy. A similar dummy was made for this garment too.
