Tamás Bécsy: The Whole Play and Its Ontological Homogeneity The bock treats the subject of the ontology of plays and for its starting point takes the doctrine of György Lukács about the homogeneous medium and its complex of problems, before arriving at its definition: the actor as a symbol, his strata of being as examining the interdependence of real and symbolic symbols, therefore man as an essence is to others symbolic of someone "not himself" while the other essence by virtue of its capacity of metamorphosis is again symbolic of someone "not himself". These two "not himself" terms come to exist only in their reflective relation. A letter from Giacomo Puccini to Artúr Bárdos (published by Tamás Gajdó) Artúr Bárdos (1882-1974).
