Rezumat

Lucrarea reflectează cu ochii etnografului/folcloristului asupra a două situaţii de bază: cultura sexuală ţărănească, pe de o parte, filmul multipremiat al lui Cristian Mungiu, 432, pe de altă parte. Punctul de pornire, în ambele cazuri este Decretul 770 privind întreruperea sarcinii la femei.

Având experienţa cercetărilor de folclor privind obiceiurile legate de naştere, am rezerve faţă de modul şi concepţia de tipologizare şi generalizare artistică a regizorului român, în sensul că dimensiunile, proporţiile acestora sunt extrem de limitate. Consecinţele grave ale unei „epoci” şi ale unui decret nefast sunt focusate asupra unei studente, fiind tipul feminin care reprezintă suferinţele/dramele tuturor celor ce aparţin acestui sex maturizate pentru naştere. Filmul neglijează tragedia înzecită a miilor de adolescente, fete şi femei măritate, trăită tot datorită aceluiaşi decret nemilos.

Lucrarea analizează, trece în revistă în mod comparat practicile abortive domestice şi şarlatania unor „doctori” de la oraşe, care, cu riscurile asumate, s-au îmbogăţit de pe urma practicilor clandestine şi ale comerţului negru al preparatelor anticoncepţionale.

Studiul urmăreşte evoluţia acestor fenomene şi în deceniile postdecembriste.

PARABLES OF THE CULTURE, COMMERCIAL ASPECTS,

MISERY AND TRAGICOMEDY OF SEXUALITY FROM THE PEASANT SOCIETY BEFORE

AND AFTER THE POLITICAL TURN Abstract

The study reflects on two basic situations with the ethnographer’s eye: on one hand, on the peasant culture and changes of sexuality, on the other hand, the experience provided by the film awarded several times, entitled 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (432) by Cristian Mungiu. In both cases the starting point is the Abortion Decree No. 770 from the Ceauşescu regime.

Based on my research and professional experience about the birth-related customs, I disapprove of the fact that in his film presenting the prohibition of abortion the Romanian director applied the proportions of artistic generalization and typification in a rather narrow way, through which the dramatic consequences of an inhuman law of a particular historical period are limited only to the situation of a student girl, who embodies the female type representing the sufferings and dramas of all the members of this sex being mature for giving birth to children. However, the film ignores, it does not perceive the tragedy much more serious in its proportions and consequences of the layer of girls and women of the peasant society.

By comparing the domestic practices of abortion of the peasant culture and the dubious and risky urban charlatan practices of some ‘doctors’ who got rich from the clandestine practices and from the illegal trade of contraceptives, the study analyses the cruel evolution of the evasion of the abortion law.

The study also follows this aspect of sexuality in the decades after the fall of the dictatorship.
