and „suitable" style followed by the great interest of the public. Against the Henszlmann-circle of Gothic style and Hungarian architect finally the Berlin architect August Friedrich Stüler had with its Neorennaisance plan. The starting and finishing point of the exhibition is signed by these two names: between their plans are the others - Ybl, Ferstel, Szkalnitzky and Feszl with their works. The catalogue with German summaries and bilingual list of works publishes in an appendix the descriptions of works for the competition, the professional critic of architects in Pest and the series of articles written by Arnold Ipolyi - beside the study on the history of the competition. The exhibition of the Museum of the Applied Arts introduces also a competition: that of its own palace, and beyond this the construction of the winning plan of Ödön Lechner-Gyula Pártos „Eastward Hungarians!" Beside less important, administrative kind of documents 1:1 size detail plans can be seen, and original furnishings, photos on the building process and the condition at the time of the opening. Among the exhibited objects the most interesting is perhaps that writing set given by the Zsolnay factory for the opening ceremony hundred years ago. The exhibition is made even more interesting by an excellent jubilee album.
