Csaba Csóti: Documents from the History of the Chamber of Commerce and Trade in Pécs - Kaposvár 1920-1921 (Source publication) In Hungary, the 1918-1919 revolutions and the significant territory losses after World War I led to the disintegration of the state organisation and the economic life. In the course of the economic reorganisation beginning in 1920 new possibilities arose for the reorganisation of the most important institutions of the commercial and trading society, the chambers of commerce and trade as well. Since the former headquarters of the chambers in South Transdanubia -Pécs was under Serbian occupation from 1918 to 1921, the temporary center for the chambers was shifted to Kaposvár. The sources published herein inform us about the formation of this temporary chamber and the prominent personalities of contemporary local commercial and trading community of Kaposvár who played a significant role in the organisation. We also present you with the Jobbying" that was done -and remained unsuccessful- by the local enterpreneurs to make Kaposvár the permanent headquarters for the chamber of commerce. The source publication is supplemted by an introductory study and explanatory notes. Maté Gárdonyi: The Events of 1944-45 in the Historia Domus of the Parish in Zselickislak (Source publication) The author's source publication wants to draw attention to a neglected type of source in the historical research of the 20th century. In the preface there is a brief introduction to the history of the historia domus, with separate discussion about the parish of Zselickislak. The author selected the most important notes from the last months of World War II with sure hands. The historical significance of these is that they were written at a parish that is located close to the county seat. At present, in regards to Kaposvár, there is no account of the days of the front passing through that would discuss this matter to this great detail, thus the notes of the priest of Zselickislak describing the wartime situation around the city are especially valuable. László Pacü: Local Press in Somogy 1945-1950 (4th publication) During the research period there were three local newspapers published in Kaposvár. First, the local organisation of the Hungarian Communist Party launched a newspaper with the header „Somogyvármegye" on 9 January 1945, then starting December the same year the Smallholders' Party issued its newspaper bearing the title „Somogyi Hirlap". The Socialist Democrat Party was able to provide all conditions necessary for the publication only by the spring of 1946. The joint newspaper of the Communist Party and the Socialist Democrat Party was first issued on 1 May 1948 as „Somogyi Hirek", then starting 22 February 1949 as „Somogyi Napló". The primary purpose of the newspapers was party propaganda. This study -among others- gives us an overview of press management, handling of ideological questions, class struggle, representation of political events and description of the economic life. A separate chapter discusses the disputes between the newspapers.
