Organizing “season concerts” in order to develop professional cultural public interest in the Postal Museum. 2.6. Organizing museum events for telecommunications and postal world days.- Marking Telecommunications World Day, 17 May 1994, with an exhibition and performance on the topic of the relationship between telecommunications and culture.- At the National Postal Conference in Debrecen between 1-4 August 1994, the organization of an exhibition in Debrecen on the material of the post archive and Debrecen postal items in the collections of the Postal Museum. 2.7. Complete fulfillment of management and financial tasks agreed by the board of trustees. 3. Tasks of the museum 3.1. Collecting • Completion of the revised inventory by 30 June 1994 in the Stamp Museum. • Undertaking a revised inventory in the postal history collection. • Fulfilling archival tasks as set down in points 1.1. and 2.1. • Continuing provincial collection trips and control of the state of protected postal, telecommunications, radio and television historical items. • Conceptual input in the establishment of board of directors’ collections modelled on the philatelic branch in Sopron. • Continuing the arrangement of regulations on collection and storage • Beginning changes in museum objects and documents • Learning more about material in private collections 3.2. Restoration, reconstruction The restoration of wooden and metal objects, textiles, documents and technical drawings and radio receiver equipment is continuing on the basis of the annual restoration plan in own workshops. Restoration in outside workshops should be extended to library volumes which require restoration. The reconstruction of significant missing items of historical significance (uniforms, delivery vehicles etc.) should be started. In the interest of conservation our restorers will - in conjunction with museum specialists - conduct a revision of objects in the stores and they will carry out necessary conservation works. 149
