Mindezek nem tejednek ki az ideológiakntikára, a feminista hermeneudkára és a képzetek perspektívájára. AMERIKAI BIBLIKUS KÉZIKÖNYVEK ÉS KOMMENTÁROK Nem lenne igazán teljes ez a tanulmány, ha nem térnénk ki azokra a kiadókra és kiadványokra, kommentárokra, amelyek Amerikában születtek, és nemcsak Angliában, hanem a kontinensen is elteijedtek. A válogatás szubjektív lesz, és az ismertetés igen rövid, de talán eligazít annak megítélésében, hogy az USA biblikuma milyen hatással van a világ bibliakutatóira. Anchor Bible ^szerk. Albright, W. F-Freedmenn, D. N.), Garden City, 1964—2007: huszonhat kötet Ószövetség, melynek kiadását William Foxwell Albright (1891—1971) vezette, tizenöt kötet Újszövetség, hét kötet apokrif irat. Ugyanezen a néven szerepel egy szótár is, sőt egész szakkönyvtár, amely mintegy ezer különböző kutató közös munkája, akik között vannak zsidók, katolikusok, keleti ortodoxok, protestáns bibliakutatók, muszlim vallástudósok és nem vallásos kutatók is. Az ószövetségi része inkább konszenzusra törekedett, az újszövetségi része több vitára adott okot a szakértők körében. Szerzői között protestánsok és katolikusok egyaránt vannak. A szakkönyvtár 120 kötetes, a főszerkesztője43 David Noel Freedman, a Doubleday adta ki a Yale University Presszel közösen. 2007-re fejezték be a sorozatot. — The Broadman Bible Commentary 1-12 (főszerk. Clifton, J. A.), Nashville 1969- 1972: az Ó- és Újszövetség könyveit kommentálja, a deuterokanonikus könyvek nélkül. Az USA déli baptista biblikusai készítették.
