Pharynx 0.38-0.95 by 0.28-0.74 mm, Ferrumequinum type. Appendages 0.32-0.37 mm; esophagus 0.28-0.62 mm long. Right testis 0.11-0.47 by 0.08-0.29 mm, left testis 0.11-0.33 by 0.10-0.47 mm. Cirrus sac 0.19-0.23 by 0.09-0.14 mm. Ovary 0.10-0.29 by 0.09-0.43 mm. Terminal genitalium Spinolosum type. Eggs 0.113-0.132 by 0.056-0.066 mm, containing fully formed miracidia. AMPHISTOMES RECOVERED FROM RUMINANTS Paramphistomidae Fischoeder, 1901 Paramphistomum cervi (Zeder, 1790) Diagnosis: Body length 6.2-14.3 mm, body width 2.2-4.3 mm. Acetabulum 1.262.68 mm in diameter,, paramphistomum type, number of muscle units, d.e.c. 1.12-15; d.e.c. 2, d.i.c, 38-49; v.e.c. 15-23; v.i.c, 39-54; m.e.c, 7-10; Pharynx 0.87-1.28 mm long, Liorchis type, esophagus without muscular thickening. Anterior testis 0.622.20 mm long, and 1.30-1.80 in dorsoventral direction; posterior testis 1.12-1.76 mm long and 2.73-3.68 mm in dorsoventral direction. Pars musculosa short and weakly developed. Ovary 0.32-0.79 by 0.29-0.62 mm. Terminal genitalium Gracile type. Genital pore bifurcal. Eggs 0.116-0.189 by 0.052- 0.064 mm. Biology. Reference: Sey 1982. Preparasitic stage Newly laid eggs contain zygote; measurements of eggs are 116-189 by 52-116 urn. Empryonated eggs have no mucoid plug. Under controlled temperature (27°C) miracidia usually begin to hatch on the 8th day. Miracidium. The hatched and free-swimming miracidia are fusiform without eye spot, covered with cilia. The measurements of the living miracidia: 175-200 by 40-50 pm. The body is covered with flat epidermal cells in four transverse rows according to the formula 6:8:4:2. The inner structure of miracidia consists of the apical
