Trematodes of Birds in Hungary. II. Dr. István MATSKÁSI Zoological Department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest "Trematodea of Birds in Hungary. II." - Matskási, I. - Parasit. Hung. 7. 91-98. 1974. ABSTRACT. The author discusses three trematode species, Plagiorchis cirratus (Rud., 1802), Renicola lari Timon-David, 1933, and Paramonostomum bucephalae Yamaguti, 1935, parasitizing birds in Hungary. The last two species are new for the fauna of Hungary. In the course of collecting helminths parasitizing birds in Hungary, two trematode species, Renicola lari and Paramonostomum bucephalae , new for the fauna of our country, have been found. The third fluke species, Plagiorchis cirratus , treated in this paper, is already known from Hungary, but it seems advisable to submit collecting data and a morphologic characterization also of this species by reason of its variability and the difficulties in its taxonomy.
