In Hungary this species was found by EDELÉNYI (1965) in the intestine of Chlidonias nigra. The localization of the vitellary glands of the specimens collected by EDELÉNYI differs from that of our specimens. In our two fluke specimens the vitellary glands extend to the level of the pharynx, as in the specimens described by BUT TITER , VACHER and DOLLPUS (i960) and by ODEN ING (1959),but end behind the bifurcation of the caeca in our other two specimens. The measurements of our specimens agree in general with those described by the above mentioned authors . On the basis of the variability of the morphological features I concur V with ZDARSKA (l966)the correct identification of the three very similar congeneric species ( P. cirratus , P. elegáns , P. larico- la ) is realizable only in the knowledge of the larval forms. Renicolidae Dollfus, 1939 Renicola lari Timon-David, 1933 - Pig. 2 Host: Larus argentatus (2 exemplars); Locality: Szabadszállás; Date of collecting: 16 May, 1973; Localization: small intestine; Intensity: 52-58 specimens. Measurements: Length of body: 14701640; greatest width: 930-1170; oral sucker: 199-224 x 280-287; pharynx: 71-81 x 93-97; ventral sucker: 90-93 x 90-102; testes: 81-85 x 93-97 and 62-70 x 90-93; ovary: 143-249 x 93-112; egg: 46 x 21-28. There is a difference between the specimens from Hungary and the original description, in that the testes of our specimens are not or only very slightly lobed, but the ovary is strongly lobed. On the basis of the localization of the organs and measurements, and in spite of the differences, I relegate our specimens to R. lari Timon-David, 1933.
