The primary pharyngeal sacs are in the second third of the pharynx, situated dorso-ventrally . They are very small and do not emerge from the pharyngeal musculature . The proportion of the pharynx to body length is 1:17,7. The basal circular muscle layer and lip sphincter are absent. Genital atrium The genital atrium of Nematophila grande belongs to the group having sphincter papillae and genital sphincter (NÁSMARK,1937). In this group NASMARK has differentiated seven identical types; Scoliocoelium seems to be nearest to the present genital atrium type. Its form, structure and general appearance, however differ from the Scoliocoelium type. It may be termed a new type of genital atrium, designated as the Nematophila genital atrium. The genital opening is cape-shaped (Pigs. 3-4), antero-posterior dimension 1.30, dor so-lateral 1.26 mm. The genital papillae are. stout and strongly developed. The sphincter papillae are well visible, situated at the lower part of the genital papillae (Pig. 3). The genital sphincter is large and compact, measuring 70-72x25-50^ (Pig. 3). Genital atrium distinct (Pig. 3), ventral atrium absent . The radial musculature of the genital atrium and that of the wall of the genital opening are moderatly developed. The hermaphrodite canal is present ,550-600 p long. The cirrus pouch is relatively small, 800 p. long and 450 ja wide, situated in the longitudinal axis of the body, at the level of the intestinal bifurcation (Pig. 4). It contains a coiled vesicula seminalis and a pars prostatica, .surrounded by closely packed prostate gland cells. The male genital duct opens into the hermaphrodite canal through the ductus ejaculatorius (Pigs. 3-4).
