Acetabulum It is located sub terminally and relatively small, its dorsoventral diameter 2.4-2.5 mm. The dorsal circular muscle units are small in relation to the dimension of the acetabulum (Fig. 5).The dorsal sxterior circular muscle layer has 124-128 units, their measurements are approximately of the same size, closely adjoining each other along the exterior longitudinal muscle layer. The dorsal interior circular layer consists of 23-2 5 units, the exterior ones are shorter (25/i) than the inner ones (125 yu). The ventral circular muscle layer has few units, ventral exterior (V.e.) 12-15, ventral interior (V.i.) 24-26. The muscle units of the ventral exterior layer are,of the same size, while the inner ones of the ventral interior layer are smaller than the others (Fig. 6). The radial muscle fibers are strong and lie close to each other (Fig. 5). The longitudinal muscle layer is slightly developed along its entire length (Fig. 5). The proportion of the acetabulum diameter to body length is 1:6.6. The structure of the acetabulum presents a condition resembling none of the types described by NÄSMARK (1937) in his group I. It comes nearer to the form described by TANDON (1970, Pseudo- chiorchis stunkardi ), in having closely packed radial muscle fibres and a slightly developed external longitudinal layer, but differs from this form in the number and arrangement of the muscle units of certain layers. A new acetabulum type nolds for the genera Nematophila and Pseudochiorchis . Acnowledgement I wish to express my gratitude to Dr. I. MATSKÁSI for making available the material of this study.
