Imparipes (Archidispus) nickelli sp. n., a New Mite Species (Acari, Tarsonemina) from a Carabid Species in the United States of America Dr. Sándor MAHUNKA Zoological Department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest Dr. P.A. NÏCKELL, Kansas, USA, had kindly sent me for identification specimens of a mite obtained from Agonoderus comma (Coleoptera:Carabidae) . The species proved to be new and I propose to introduce it, in honour of its collector, under the name Imparipes (Archidispus) nickelli sp.n. Length: 269-288 /*> width: 192-205 ADorsal side (Pig. 1): Clypeus small, margin narrow. All dorsal hairs slightly incrassate basally; few lateral cilia. Ventral side (F i g. 4): Hairs of anterior sternal plate thin, also setae coxales II externae setiform, ciliate, arising in immediate vicinity of internae. Setae poststernales minute, basally incrassate, guttiform. All other pre-- and poststernal hairs short,thin. Setae caudales externae longest of all caudal hairs, setae caudales externae 1 minute.
