Abonyi levelezőlap (1900) j Ansichtskarte von Abony (1900) / Postcard about Abony (1900) accurately reflected in the jurisdictional records and in the documents of the dispute cases. The properties of the town citizens were regularly listed for taxation purposes. These lists count as important sources for the town's economic- and family history as well. Amongst the lists one can find the list of names of the Vác civic guard in the revolution and freedom fight of 1848-1849, too. The collection of testaments starting from 1706 can be considered abundant, where beside the Hungarian ones, a high number of the last will and testaments written by the German homeseekers from the end of the 17 th century written in their mother tongue can be found, too. These testaments remarkably reflect the property status, the economy, the religious and social habits and the everyday life of the multinational - German, Slovak, Serbian, Greek - population. The economy of the town can be traced in the statements of the lead cashier's accounts, which have been preserved since 1730. After the conciliation in 1867 the archive documents generated during the operation of the organized civil administration were preserved in a more complete state. The records of the general assembly of the town with organized council, being a county town from 1929 following the village-town administration reform in 1871 and the conduct of affairs documents of the mayor's office can be revealed based on the reference books of those times. The ordinances, election, army management, population census, school, military care grant and club documents, the citizenship and registry, the industry authority and construction documents and the labour movement reports make a separate division and a series of documents.
