Diplochasma (Sauteromyia) occidentalis sp. n. (Figs 12-14) Type material - Holotype maie: Ghana Kumasi, 1-25. VI. 1965, leg. EndrÖdy-Y[ounga S.] (HNHM). Paratypes: 1 male: same as for holotype; 1 female: Ghana, Kwadaso, 10-24. VII. 1965. leg. Endrődy-Y. (HNHM). Description - Measurements in mm: body length 2.80 (holotype), 2.90, 3.20 (para­types); wing length 2.80 (holotype), 2.91,3.27 (paratypes); wing width: 1.01,1.05,1.09. Colour: mesonotum distinctly grey, pleura mostly grey, abdomen generally greyish yellow (see more below). Facial plate brownish, facial keel prominent down to somewhat below middle. Orbital plates grey in their whole length, i.e. not only apically. Ocellar setae 0.09 mm, post­ocellars 0.16 mm. Black spot laterally to antennái base large, with diameter of 0.13 mm. First flagellomere narrowly rounded apically. Arista with 0.065mm long white cilia. Palpi black. Four acrostichal rows anteriorly, but only 2 rows between dorsocentrals. Prescutellar pair 0.20 mm long (holotype). Subscutellum not large. Wing with 2 spots each in cells r j, r 2+3 and r 4+5 (as in Fig. 33). Stronger costal fringe distally to apex of R 2+3 consists of 9—10 setae. Distal section of vein M 0.855 mm, intra-crossvein section 0.54, ratio 1.59, dM-Cu 0.235 mm. Figs 12-14.
