1 (2) Second tergite less broadening posteriorly, one-fifth longer than broad behind, its mid-basal field long, extending beyond middle of tergite; third tergite less transverse, about one-third broader behind than long medially (Fig. la in QuiCKE 1985: 1 18). Temple in dorsal view somewhat receded rounded (Fig. lb in QuiCKE 1985: 118). Hind half of metasoma and hind tibia black. Ç: 14 mm Paxillibracon tessmanni (SZEPLIGETI) 2(1) Second tergite broadening posteriorly, 1.35 times as broad behind as long medially, its mid-basal field short, extending to anterior half of tergite; third tergite transverse, 2.2 times as broad behind as long medially (Fig. 122). Temple in dorsal view widely rounded (Fig. 123). Metasoma and hind tibia ochre yellow. Ç: 16 mm Quickeos luteus (SZEPLIGETI) Stenobracon virgulatus sp. n. Ç (Figs 130-134) Material examined (2 Ç) - Holotype Ç + 1 ? paratype: Laos, Annam. Depository - Holotype and one paratype are deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Department of Zoology), Budapest, Hym. Typ. Nos 7787 (holotype) and 7788 (paratype). Etymology - The species name "virgulatus" refers to the dark brown transverse streaks of the metasomal tergites. Description of the female holotype - Body 13 mm long. Head in dosai view less transverse, 1.7 times as broad as long, temple relatively more receded (Fig. 130). Eye in dorsal view almost three times as long as temple, in lateral view 1.3 times as high as wide and clearly three times as wide as temple. Ocelli middle-sized and round, POL : OD : OOL as 8 : 8 : 21. Shortest oculo-tentorial distance : inter-tentorial distance : basal width of mandible as 21 : 27 : 30. Width of face : width of head (in frontal view) as 47 : 100. Frons behind antennái sockets flat, laterally setose. Face, check, temple and frons laterally with hairpunclurcs, frons medially and occiput polished. Antenna about as long as body, filiform and with 84 antennomeres. Scape in lateral view 1.4 limes as long as high, apically deeply emarginatc. First flagellomere 1.3 times as long as second flagellomere, first flagellomere almost twice as long as broad apically; median 35-40 flagellomeres cubic, last 13-14 flagellomeres attenuating so that penultimate flagellomere just less than twice as long as broad basally, last (or 84th) flagellomere 1.36 times as long as penultimate (or 83rd) flagellomere and pointed. Mesosoma in lateral view 1.75 times as long as high. Meso- and metasoma setose. Mesosoma polished. Notaulix distinct but not furrow-like. - Hind femur four times as long as broad basally (Fig. 133). Fore wing shorter than body. Pterostigma (131) 3.6 times as long as wide, issuing radial vein (r) distally from its middle: r a bit longer than width of pterostigma, 4-SR 2.1 limes as long as 3SR and approaching tip of wing; l-SR-M almost straight, i.e. indistinctly undulate, second submarginal cell relatively long, 3-SR 1.62 times as long as 2-SR. - Hind wing: Ir-m 1.2 times as long as SC+R1 (Fig. 132, see arrows). Metasoma in dorsal view narrow and parallel-sided, almost twice as long as head + mesosoma combined. First tergite (Fig. 134) twice as long as broad close before its hind end, 1.66 times as broad behind as basally, moderately broadening posteriorly; scutum of first tcrgite (or "raised me-
