Deepakius gen. n. (Figs 4-6) Type species. Deepakius amrishi sp. n. Description. Body elongate. Mandible with 2 apical teeth, lateral side with more than 10 setae (Fig. 4). Maxillary palps 3-scgmented, longer than antennae (Fig. 5). Antennae very short, 5-scg­mentcd, with one-segmented club (Fig. 6). Head with coarse punctures. Pronotum longer than wide, with 10 deep depressions on disc; 4 large elongate depressions of them situated in the middle, 3 small suboval ones along each lateral side. Elytra with large and white striai punctures, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th interstriae narrow and convex, apical hole absent. Elytral apices rounded. Legs simple, tarsi 5-segmented. From dorsal side there is no difference between males and females. Male genita­lia: median lobe with long llagcllum. Etymology. This genus is named after my son DEEPAK MAKHAN. Holotype. Male. South Africa, Kruger Nat. Pk. Malhlakusapan 22°37'S-31°22'E, 9.11.1994, ENDRŐDY-YOUNGA. - Paratypes. 4 females (same data as holotype) (one female in HNHM). Description (holotype male). Body elongate, length 3.3 mm, width 1.1 mm. Colour of head, pronotum, scutellum and elytra black, with a blue-green metallic gloss. Head with coarse punc­tures. Pronotum longer than wide, lateral area smooth, on disc with 10 deep depressions, 4 large and elongate depressions of them situated in the middle, 3 small suboval ones along each lateral side. Elytra widest in posterior third, lateral area smooth, striai punctures large and white, wider than interstriae, 3rd, 5th. 7th and 9th interstriae narrow and convex, apical hole absent. Elytral apices broadened and rounded. Length of elytra 2.2 mm. Male genitalia (Fig. 7): basal piece same size as páraméra, median lobe with long flagellum. Deepakius amrishi sp. n.
