Head in dorsal view (Fig. 49) transverse, 2.2 times as broad as long, eye three times as long as temple, latter constricted. Ocelli medium sized, elliptic in form, distance between fore and a hind ocelli half as long as greatest diameter of an ocellus, OOL five times as long as POL. Eye in lateral view 1.72 times as high as wide, temple half as wide as eye. Malar space somewhat more than half as long as basal width of mandible. Face somewhat more than twice as wide as high, inner margin of eyes parallel. Ch/peus three times as wide below as high medially. Tentorial pits somewhat nearer to eye than to each other. Face transversely striated, clypeus finely confluent punctate, vertex (Fig. 49) rather transversely rugulose with punctate elements. -Antenna shorter than body with 27 flagellomeres. First flagellomere twice as long as broad, further flagellomeres attenuating so that penultimate also twice as long as broad. - M e s o s o m a in lateral view 1.55 times as long as high. Mesonotum rugose with striate elements behind (Fig. 49). Scutellum unevenly punctate, shiny. Propodeum (areolate-)rugose. Sternaulix widely rugose. Fore femur 2.5 times, hind femur three times as long as broad at middle. -Fore wing about as long as body. Pterostigma (Fig. 51) three times as long as wide, issuing radial vein from its middle. Radial cell long, its length along metacarp one-fifth longer than pterostigma, Cu2 small, rl just longer than width of pterostigma and 1.6 times as long as r2, cuqul just shorter than r2, r3 five times as long as r2. Vein d straight, d2 ditinctly four times as long as dl (Fig. 52). Postnervellus postfurcal (cf. Fig. 561). -Metasoma somewhat shorter than head + mesosoma together. First tergite (Fig. 50) 1.48 times as long as broad at hind, spiracles before its middle, up to spiracles tergite distinctly and beyond spiracles moderately broadening posteriorly, pair of basal keels converging (and not meeting each other) up to anterior third and here merging into longitudinal striation of tergite (Fig. 50). Second tergite transverse, 2.2 times as wide behind as long medially, on its base with short, fine and longitudinal striation, otherwise together with further tergites polished. Suture between tergites 2-3 indistinct. Ovipositor sheath very short, about as long as fifth segment of hind tarsus. Ground colour of body dirty yellow with much dark pattern. Occiput and temple brownish; mesonotum blackish brown except dirty yellow pair of streaks along notaulix and pale yellow hind part; tegulae pale yellow apically with a brownish tint; propodeum with a pair of rather longitudinal dark brown maculae; first tergite basalfy blackish brown, otherwise brown, apico-medially with a pale yellow streak; further tergites light brown, tergites 2-4 medially with a yellowish spot posteriorly reducing in size. Flagellum dirty yellow darkening apically. Legs pale yellow, femora with faint brownish suffusion, pulvilli black. Wings hyaline, brownish fumous along rl-2, cul and n. bas.; pterostigma opaque yellow, apically weakly brownish. â and host unknown. Type material - Holotype 9: India, Orissa, Jajpur-Keonjahr district, Daitari, 5 January 1967, leg. ToPÁL. - Holotype is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; Hym. Typ. No. 7356. Etymology - The species name "contractus" refers to the strongly constricted temple.
