12 (11) Colour contrast between brownish basal and black apical segments of antennae not at all conspicuous; antennae often appear entirely black (Figs 15-16). Elytra not unicoloured; ground colour dark, epipleura always, suturai and lateral margins usually more or less paler. 13 (14) Elytra blue, epipleura distinctly, suturai and lateral margins indistinctly reddish. Size smaller, shape more slender L. australis CHAMPION, 1895 14 (13) Elytra black with faint blue sheen, epipleura, suturai and lateral margins yellowish (sometimes vague). Size larger, shape more robust L. albovillosa MACLEAY, 1887 Lagria plumbeipennis sp. n. (Figs 7-8, 18, 82, 95-96) Body elongate oval. Head, pronotum and suctellum dark metallic green, elytra leaden with faint green of purplish tinge. Ventral surface black, abdomen reddish apically. Antennae and legs entirely black, at most very base of femora and of antenna! segment I slightly brownish. Pronotum with semi­erect to erect hairs, elytral pubescence short, whitish grey, decumbent. — Length 6.8-11 mm. (/.Head with punctation moderately coarse and dense. Eyes rather large, interocular distance much narrower than eye diameter (IOI = 76.5). — Antennae long and slender (Fig. 7), segment I shorter than half of interantennal distance (IAI = 45.5). Relative lengths of segments VI to XI are 11: 12: 11 : 10: 10: 54, i.e. last segment about as long as 5 preceding combined, feebly curved, gib­bose, quadrate in cross section. — Pronotum nearly as long as wide (PNI = 96), widest at base, 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Figs 7-16.
