A. pallidator (THUNBERG): 18 = head in dorsal view, 19 = head in lateral view, 20 = tergites 1-3.—Figs. 21-22.,4. circumscripta (NEES): 21 = head in dorsal view, 22 = tergites 1-3 Aleiodes (Aleiodes) hellenicus sp. n. Ç ç? (Figs 14-17) $ . Body 7-7.5 mm long. Head in dorsal view (Fig. 14) almost twice, i.e. 1.8-1.9 times, broader than long, eye protruding from outline of head and 2.5 times longer than temple, latter constricted; occiput hardly excavated; ocelli large, elliptic, greatest diameter of a hind ocellus longer than OOL; POL shorter than OOL. Eye in lateral view (Fig. 15) ventrally slightly widening, about 1.5 times higher than wide; cheek long, distinctly one-third longer than basal width of mandible. Face transverse, 1.5 times wider than high; oral opening rather small, its horizontal diameter shorter than distance between its margin and lowest point of eye. Head (face, cheek, temple, occiput) scabriculous, vertex and frons coriarious. Antenna somewhat longer than body, with 45-47 joints; flagellum slightly tapering apically, every flagellar joint twice as long as broad. Mesosoma in lateral view twice to almost twice as long as high. Mesonotum slightly less broad than vidth of head. Surface of mesosoma scabriculous, mesonotum and scutellum coriarious. Propodeum also scabriculous, with a rather weak medio-longitudinal carina. Hind femur 4.5 times longer than broad. Hind tibia and tarsus equal in length. Hind basitarsus as long as tarsal joints 2-3 together. Fore wing as long as or somewhat shorter than body. Pterostigma four times longer than wide, issuing radial vein somewhat proximally from its middle, rl shorter than vidth of pterostigma, r2 almost twice as long as cuqul, r3 reaching tip of wing. Nervulus proximal from middle of d. Radial cell of hind wing evenly wide. Metasoma as long as head and mesosoma together. First tergite (Fig. 16) stongly broadening basally, posteriorly from spiracle moderately broadening, somewhat longer than wide at hind. Second tergite about as long as its basal width, parallel-sided ; third tergite somewhat shorter than wide at base. Medio-longitudinal carina of tergites l-2(-3) rather weak. Ovipositor sheath in lateral view short, as long as third joint of hind tarsus.
