9- Body 3.6 mm long. Head in dorsal view (Fig. 4) transverse, 1.75-1.85 times broader than long, eye twice as long as temple, latter strongly rounded, occiput excavated. Ocelli small, less elliptic, POL just longer than greatest diameter of a hind ocellus, OOL somewhat longer than POL. Eye in lateral view 1.5 times higher than wide; cheek about one-fourth longer than basal width of mandible. Face about 1.3 times wider than high; oral opening medium-sized, its horizontal diameter equalling the distance between oral margin and lowest point of eye. Head coriarious-rugulose. Antenna shorter than body, with 32 joints (holotype, pair of antenna of single female paratype broken). Mesosoma in lateral view 1.6-1.7 times as long as high. Mesonotum one-sixth less broad than width of head. Mesosoma rugulose-rugose and less coriarious than head. Medio-longitudinal carina of propodeum weak. Hind femur somewhat thick, 3.75 times as long as broad. Hind tibia and tarsus equal in length. Hind basitarsus as long as tarsal joints 2-3 together. Fore wing as long as body or somewhat longer. Pterostigma (Fig. 5) 3.5-4 times longer than wide, issuing radial vein (almost) from its middle; rl shorter than to as long as width of pterostigma, r2 1.5Í-2) times longer than cuqul, r3 approaching tip of wing; nervulus issuing from proximal fourth of d; D wide, 1.6 times wider than high. Radial cell of hind wing narrow and evenly wide. Metasoma about as long as mesosoma. First tergite (Fig. 8) strongly broadening posteriorly, somewhat wider behind than long medially. Second tergite subquadrate, 1.3 times wider behind than long medially. Third tergite less transverse, 1.5-1.6 times wider basally than long. Tergites 1-3 rather longitudinally rugulose-rugose with striate elements, further tergites coriarious. Medio-longitudinal keel of tergites 1—2(— 3) feebly distinct. In lateral view ovipositor sheath as long as hind basitarsus. Body brownish yellow, ocellar field black, legs somewhat light brownish yellow ; or body with rich dark pattern: mesosoma except brownish yellow pronotum, mesonotum and scutellum, and all tergites blackish brown (1 9 from Jordan). Wings hyaline, pterostigma opaque yellow, veins yellowish. cf. Similar to female. Antenna about as long as body, with 36 joints. Propodeum, mesopleuron above, first tergite basally and last four tergites with dark pattern. Host unknown. Distribution —Described from Azerbaidzhan ("Lenkoran") by TELENGA in 1941; since its description no further localities have been reported even from the USSR. New to the fauna of Greece and Jordan (see localities below). Recently discovered in Hungary too (PAPP 1985). (A.) gastritor (THUNBERG, 1822) (Palaearctic Region), however, the two species distinctly differ from each other in the following features : A. coxator (TEL.) 1. r2 usually 1.5 times longer than cuqul ; R approaching tip of wing; D wide, 1.6 times wider than high (Fig. 5, see arrows), nervulus issuing from proximal fourth of d. 2. Second tergite subquadrate, 1.3 times wider behind than long medially; first tergite somewhat more broadening posteriorly, its hind width 2.6-2.7 times greater than basal width (Fig. 8). Striate elements of tergites 1-2 somewhat less pronounced. 3. Third femur somewhat thick, 3.75 times longer than broad. 4. Head in dorsal view 1.75-1.85 times as broad as long, eye less protruding (Fig. 4). 5. Body 3.6-5 mm long. A. gastritor (THUNB.) 1. r2 (1.9-)2-2.2 times longer than cuqul; R reaching tip of wing; D less wide, 1.4-1.5 times wider than high, nervulus issuing from proximal third of d. 2. Second tergite transverse, 1.3-1.5 times wider behind than long medially; first tergite somewhat less broadening posteriorly, its hind width at most 2.5 times greater than basal width (Fig. 9). Striate elements of tergites 1-2 somewhat more pronounced. 3. Third femur less thick, 4 to 5 times longer than broad. 4. Head in dorsal view twice to almost twice as broad as long, eye slightly protruding (Fig. 6). 5. Body 4-6 mm, usually 5-5.5 mm. long.
