ANNALES HISTORICO-NATURALES MUSEI NATIONALIS HUNGARICl Tomus 76. Budapest, 1984 p. 133-138. Further new species of New Guinea Staphylinidae (Coleoptera) in the collections of the Hungarian and British Museums by H. LAST, Storrington/England Abstract — 12 new species are described from Papua New Guinea. With the exception of 1 species (Stilicoderus kiloloensis ) the remaining 11 species are in the subfamily Tachyporinae ; Mycetoporus (3), Bolitobius (1), Coproporus (7). Types of 7 species are placed in the collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum and 4 in the British Museum (Natural History) and also in my own collection. Collectors were J. BALOGH, I. LOKSA. L. BÍRÓ and Dr. R. HORNABROOK (New Zealand). Continuing my studies of Papua New Guinea Staphylinid material, I examined specimens from the collection of the Museum at Budapest and incorporated specimens taken by Dr. Richard Hornabrook, Types of which are placed in the British Museum (Natural History). I am indebted to DC. Z. KASZAB for the opportunity of examining the material in his charge and the Authorities of the British Museum (Natural History) for allowing me to work with their collections. I am also most grateful to Mr. Jonathan COÛTER for typing this paper. Descriptions of new species Coproporus KRAATZ Coproporus KRAATZ, 1858, Bull. Soc. ent. Fr. p. ex; 1958 Naturg. Ins.
