PAPP, Budapest Abstract — Forty-nine species of the genera Ademon HALIDAY, Austroopius SZÉPLIGETI, Biosteres FÖRSTER, Diachasma FÖRSTER, Hoplocrotaphus TELENGA and Opius WESMAEL are reported from the Arctogaea (39 from the Palaearctic Region, 7 from the Nearctic Region and 3 from the Oriental Region), of which 5 species are new to science: Opius (Pendopius) sp. n. çf (USA), O. (Opius ) mendus sp. n. $ (Afghanistan), O. (Allophlebus ) tarni sp. n. 9 çf (USSR), O. (Utetes ) toleráns sp. n. $ (India) and O. (Stomosema ) ziratus sp. n. $ (Germany). The great majority of the known species are new to the fauna of the countries in respect. The material documenting the novelties is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; specimens from the Instytut Zoologii (Warszawa) are indicated. With 23 figures. 1. List of species NEARCTIC REGION Opius (Utetes) anaximandri FISCHER, 1970 — Antenna with 31 joints as that of the holotype. First tergite 1.2 times longer than wide at hind, behind spiracles parallel-sided. N. rec. just postfur­cal. — So far known only from its type-locality Pinkham Notch, New Hampshire, USA. New to the fauna of Canada. Locality - 1 $: Canada, Quebec, Hauterive, banks of Manicougan, 6 August 1975, leg. I. SZABÓ. Opius (Pleurosema) euwattacooanus FISCHER, 1964 — The species is distributed in the eastern half of USA. (Maryland, Michigan, New York, South Carolina). My two females originate from Maine and deviate in a few respects from the female paratype (from Ann Arbor, Michigan) which was kindly loaned to me by H. TOWNES (Ann Arbor) : Paratype 9 Two females from Maine 1. First tergite blackish brown, tergites 1. First tergite light brown, tergites 2-3 2-3 brown, sternites 1-6 light brown. yellow, sternites 1-3 white, sternites 4-6 yellowish brown. 2. First tergite rugose. 2. First tergite rugulose with longitudinal elements. 3. Body 2.4 mm long. 3. Body 2-2.2 mm long. Locality­2 9 : USA., Maine, Oxford Co., 23 July 1976, leg. G. HEINRICH. Opius (Pendopius) gerdi sp. n. çf, see, p. 246. Opius (Misophthora) jacobi FISCHER, 1964 — Thorax in lateral view 1.25 times (and not 1.5 times) longer than high. Antenna with 21 joints. r2 somewhat more than twice as long as cuqu\. Hind declivous half of propodeum uneven to subrugulose medially. Ovipositor sheath in lateral view only somewhat shorter than hind basitarsus. - Apparently a frequent species in the Nearctic Region. Locality— 1 9 : Canada, Quebec, Les Buissons, 3 August 1975, leg. I. SZABÓ. Opius (Allophlebus) longicubitalis FISCHER, 1965 — Widely distributed in the Nearctic Region. Locality- 1 9 : Canada, Quebec, Hauterive, 5 km NW from town, 11 August 1975, leg. I. SZABÓ.
