Riffe, Fischerwiese, p. 438, pl. III, fig. 7a-b. Material : a poorly preserved, incomplete shell. — Locality : Borzavár, Rhaetian grey limestone. Description : The shell is so incomplete as to permit a full description. The median portion of the shell is nearly flat, this probably corresponds, or lies near, to the area of attachment. The shell becomes more and more strongly plicated toward the ventral margin ; the plicae are subrounded in cross-section, their number is five on this fragment, the distance between them is about 4 mm at the margin. Remarks : STOPPANI (I.e.) described a series of forms which seem to be close to each other and connected with transitions. DITTMAR (1864, p. 154) regarded some of them (L. marshii, nodosa, paimetta, ascendens) as synonymous with L. haidingeriana. FISCHEROOSTER (I.e.) and ZAPFE (I.e.) included further STOPPANI'S forms into the same species. According to these, L. haidingeriana appears as a very widely variable species and the specimens from Borzavár can be assigned to it without hesitation. Distribution : Rhaetian of the Northern and the Southern Alps, the "Préalpes", the Western Carpathians, the Bakony Mts. (Hungary) and Burma. Genus LYRIOMYOPHORIA KOBAYASHI, 1954 Lyriomyophoria inflata (EMMRICH, 1853) (Plate II: 8) *1853: M. [yophoria] inflata EMMRICH, Geogn. Material : 5 specimens (an external and four internal casts). — Locality : Borzavár, Rhaetian grey limestones. Description : Internal cast of a small, moderately inflated left valve. The outline is rhomboidal, very inequilateral, posteriorly truncated. The posterodorsal margin is gently concave. The
