Features of the lineipes-g roup. — The lineipes-gvowp (PAPP 1976) comprises several species separated off from NIXON'S (1972) laerigatus-grouy. The following features unite the lineipes-group : 1. first tergite gradually narrowing posteriorly, 2. second tergite less distinctly shorter than third one, 3. hypopygium weakly sclerotized, more or less creased laterally, 4. ovipositor sheath long, at least as long as half of third tibia. Species belonging to the Uneipes-group from Europe are as follows: A. annularis (NEES), A. aptus sp. n., A. britannicus WILK., A. dioryctriaeWiL,K., A.erdoesiVA.~P~P, A. flavostriatussp. n., A. haemerobiellicida Fi., A. lineipes (WESM)., A. longicalcar THOMS., A. murinanae CAPEK & ZWÖLFER, A. phaola NIXON, A. piraticus sp. n., A. praetorius TOB., A. punctiger (WESM.), A., sisenna NIXON, A. subcmarginatus ABDINB., A. tersus PAPP. Apanteles flavostriatus sp. n. 9 (Figs. 6-10) 9 • The new species belongs to the Uneipes-group (PAPP 1976) and is closely related to A. phaola NIXON (England, Sweden, Hungary: new record). The following features show the differences between the two species : A. phaola NIXON 1. "Thorax rather short" (NIXON 1972: 732), prescutellar furrow broad (Fig. 11, in dorsal view). 2. "Propodeum in far greater part smooth in and shining", only around lunule rugose. 3. Stigma (Fig. 12) more than twice as long as broad (42:18, X 100), issuing radial vein distinctly distal from middle. r 1 as long as cuqu x , r x :cuqu x as 11-12:11. A. flavostriatus sp. n. 1. Thorax not short, normal, prescutellar furrow narrow (Fig. 6, in dorsal view).. 2. Propodeum medially rugo-rugulose,. here with a weak impression, laterally rugulose to smooth. 3. Stigma (Fig. 7) Slightly more than twice as long as broad (45:21, x 100), issuing radial vein near to middle. r x distinctly longer than cuqu^ (14-15:10). Figs. 6—10. Apanteles flavostriatus sp. n. 9 : 6 = mesonotum, 7 = part of right fore wing., 8 = nervellus of hind wing, 9 = tergites 1-3, 10 = ovipositor sheath.
