4. Nervellus ( = baSella) relatively lese incurved (Fig. 13). 5. First tergite rather short, its length to fore and hind width as 32 : 28: 25 ( x 100, in NIXON 1972: 742). <6. Second tergite ( = basal field of tergite 2 + 3) " .. .almost three-quarters as long as rest of Segment" (or third tergite; Fig. 25, 1. c). 7. Ovipositor sheath relatively broad (Fig. 14). •8. Sternum entirely black, without any yellow Streak. 9. "Stigma evenly dark brown", only parastigma somewhat light. 10. Wings weakly brownish fumous. "Venation proximal to areolet fully pigmented" (NIXON I.e.) 4. Nervellus relatively more incurved (Fig. 8). 5. First tergite rather long, its length to fore and hind width as 35:25:20 ( X 100, Fig. 9). 6. Second tergite two-thirds as long as third tergite (Fig. 9). 7. Ovipositor sheath relatively narrow (Fig. 10). 8. Sternum black, laterally with a vivid yellow longitudinal streak. 9. Stigma dark brown, with a whitish yellow basal spot, proximal section of metacarp light (Fig. 7). 10. Wings hyaline. Venation proximal to areolet whitish. Additional features. —• Body 3 mm long. Head (in dorsal view) twice broader than long (43 :21, X 100), strongly rounded, constricted behind eyes. Hind imaginary tangent to fore ocellus at most touching hind two ocelli. Distance between fore and a hind ocelli shorter than diameter of an ocellus (4:5-6, XlOO). Head (in opposite view) semicircular, somewhat broader than high. Face broader than high, its height to loAver and upper breadth as 25: 33: 37 (X 100) ; inner margin of eyes slightly converging towards oral part. Head with superficial punctation, subshiny to dull. Antenna nearly as long as body. Two preapical joints one-and-aquarter times longer than wide (7: 5, X 100). Mesonotum with shallow punctation which antero-posteriorly becoming somewhat less confluent. Mesonotum on its declivous part dull, on its disc subshiny to shiny. Scutellum polished with few minute punctures. Metacarp (Fig. 7) long, ending near to radial vein (or r 3 ). First discoidal cell (or i) 1 ) as wide as high, d x = d 2 . Third tibia with rather sparse and pointed spines. Inner spur of hind tibia slightly longer than outer one, not reaching middle of basitarsus. First tergite (Fig. 9) narrowing evenly antero-posteriorly, its side almost .straight. Hind, horizontal surface of first tergite rather rugulose to alutaceous, Figs. 11-14. Apanteles phaola NIXON $ : 11 = mesonotum with prescutellar furrow, 12 = part of right fore wing, 13 = nervellus of hind wing, 14 = ovipositor sheath.
