Papp, J.: Braconidae (Hymenoptera) from Mongolia, V

? Locality. Central aimak: Ulan-Baator, Nucht in Bogdo ul, 12 km SO vom Zentrum, 1650 m, 3. VI. 1967 (No. 762), 1 9 (holotype). Holotype deposited in the Hungarian Natural Historv Museum, Budapest; Hvm. Typ. No. 2355 Apanteles butalidis MARSH. — 1st tergite usually (roughly) rugose, however, one specimen with weakly sculptured tergite 1. Sporadically in Europe (England, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Yugoslavia). New to the fauna of Mongolia. Localities. Central aimak: 11 km S vom Pass Zosijn davaa (cca 90 km S von Ulan-Baator), 1650 m, 7. VI. 1967 (Nr. 767), 1 çf, captured in soil-trap. — Chövsgöl aimak: Alag Mort, 42 NO vom Pass Chaldzan Sogotyn davaa, am Fluss Tesijn gol, 1900 m, 14. VH. 1968. (Nr. 1107), 1 çf . Apanteles chares NIXON — Described from England (NIXON 1965), I have specimens (5 $ + lçf) from Hungary. The Mongolian representatives of this species (89 + 3 çf) are similar to the Hungarian ones except the following features (comparision in the sequence Mongolian and Hungarian representatives) : 1. ratio of cephalic width to length as 56-55 : 33 and 56 : 30; 2. metacarp twice —- one-and-half times longer than distance between tip of metacarp and apex of radial cell ; 3. Inner spur of tibia 3 minutely longer — minutely shorter than half basitarsus ; 4. r x issuing distally — medially to hardly distally from stigma, r x shorter than — as long as cuqu x ; 5. -wings subhyaline to weakly fumous (in median area) — hyaline to subhyaline. I consider these differences to be mere infraspecific deviations. Localities. Mittelgobi aimak: 20 km S von Somon Delgercogt, 1480 m, 13-14. VII. 1967 (Nr. 915), 1 çf. — Central aimak: 12 km S von Somon Bajanbaraat, 1380 m, 13. VII. 1967 (Nr. 918), 9 9 + 2 çf. Apanteles cinerosus PAPP — Mesonotum feebly pruinose, that of holotype more pruinose. Known only from Mongolia. Locality. Bulgan aimak: 7 km NW von Somon Chanzargalant, 1350 m, 16. VI. 1968 (Nr. 967), 1 9 . Apanteles conspersae FISKE — Obviously it was a lapse by SHENEFELT (1972) to put this name in synonymy with lacteicolor VIER. Indeed, the two species are very close to each other, but may be clearly differentiated from each other by three important characteristics : A. conspersae FISKE* A. lacteicolor VIER.* 1. Tergite 2 smooth or almost smooth. 2. Ovipositor sheath as long as 3rd tibia. 3. Mesonotum with almost confluent, slightly smaller and shallower punctation. 1. Tergite 2 rugose. 2. Ovipositor sheath only 0.5-0.6 times as long as 3rd tibia. 3. Mesonotum with not confluent (but dense), stronger and deeper punctation. Reported from Japan and Taiwan. New to the fauna of Mongolia. Locality. Südgobi aimak: Gurban Sajchan ul Gebirge, 15 km S von der Stadt Dalanzadgad, cca 1750, 13. VI. 1967 (Nr. 794), 1 9. Apanteles contortus TOB. ( = crantor NIXON) — Obviously a widely distributed and frequent species in the Palaearctic Region. Localities. Central aimak: 11 km S vom Pass Zosijn davaa (cca 90 km S von Ulan-Baator), 1650 m, 7. VI. 1967 (Nr. 771), 1 çf ; Tosgoni ovoo, 6-10 km N von UlanBaator, 1700 m, 7-8. VI. 1968 (Nr. 938), 1 çf. — M i 11 e 1 g o b i aimak: 20 km S von Somon Delgercogt, 1480 m, 13-14. VI. 1967 (Nr. 915), 2 çf. * I have compared the Mongolian single female specimen with representatives of both species named by "WATANABE and WILKINSON.
