Papp, J.: Braconidae (Hymenoptera) from Mongolia, V

Apanteles crudelis PAPP (Fig. 19) — Described from Mongolia (Papp 1971b), I have females and males from Hungary. Rather near to A. sicarius MARSH, besides A. albipennis (NEES), A. laevigatas (RATZ.) and A. lectus TOB. Unfortunately the female holotype represents an aberration as far as its alar venation is concerned: r x + cuqu^ as figured by me (1. c). I feel it justified to present a new figure of this part of the wing (Fig. 19): r, somewhat longer than cuqu\, r x not thinner than cuqu lf stigma nearly 2.5 times longer than broad. Localities. Bulgan aimak: 7 km NW von Somon Chanzargalant, 1350 m, 16. VI. 1968 (Nr. 967), 1 9 - — Chövsgöl aimak: zwischen Somon Tosoncengel und Somon Ich-ul, 22 km O von Tosoncengel, 1150 m, 21. VII. 1968 (Nr. 1133), 1 Ç. Apanteles cytherea NIXON — Mesonotum subshiny with dense and very fine rugulosity. Tergite 1 almost smooth on its hind horizontal part. It seems most reasonable to keep this male specimen as a representative of the species named, because in every respect agrees with the original description. Reported from England, Hungary and ?Korea. New to the fauna of Mongolia. Locality. Chövsgöl aimak: N von Somon Chatgal am SW-Ecke des Sees Chövsgöl nuur, 1650 m, 18. VII. 1968 (Nr. 1123), 1 çf. Apanteles evander NIXON — Very similar to A. contortus TOB., and difficult to separate it from the latter. Besides the features given in my key (PAPP 1974) body of A. evander seems somewhat more gracile. Reported from Finland, Hungary. New to the fauna of Mongolia. Locality. Uvs aimak: Sandgebiet Altan els, 35 km WNW von Somon Tes, 1400 m, 23. VI. 1968 (Nr. 1007), 1 O . Apanteles falcatus (NEES) ( = gladiator SZÉPL.) — Localities. Archangaj aimak: Changaj Gebirge, 8 km W von Somon Urdtamir, 1620 m, 21. VII. 1966 (Nr. 722), 6 $ +2r-f\ — Central aimak: Ulaan chodag, 16 km S von Somon Öndörschireet, 1500 m, 24. VIL 1966 (Nr. 739), 1 $ + 1 ^. — Central aimak: Tosgoni ovoo, 5-10 km N von Ulan-Baator, 1500-1700 m, 19-20., 23-24. VII. 1967 (Nr. 926), 2 9+1 çf; idem, 1700-1900 m, 23-24. VII. 1967 (Nr. 926a), 1 9 ; Ulaan-Baator, Nucht im Bogdo ul, 12 km SO vom Zentrum, 1500-1600 m, 21. VII. 1967 (Nr. 931), 6 9 ; 25 km 0 von Somon Lun, 1200 m, 25. VII. 1968 (Nr. 1146), 1 9 . — Total 21 specimens (17 9 + 4 rf). Apanteles floralis TOB. — Venation of wing weakly pigmented. Dark colour of legs more extensive. Otherwise it does not deviate from the original description. New to the fauna of Mongolia. Locality. Uburchangaj aimak: am halben Weg zwischen Somon Bajanleg und Somon Bulgan, cca 130 km OSO von Bajanleg, 1150 m, 3. VII. 1967 (Nr. 882), 1 9. Apanteles gobicus sp. n. 9 d* (Figs. 14—16) Very close to A. pelopea NIXON (1973), in many respects agrees with this species, but in a few differences it can be clearly distinguished from the former: A. pelopea NIXON 1. Body 9 : 2.5 mm, rf : 2.1Ő2.3 mm long, relatively strong. 2. Penultimate joint of female antenna cubic. 3. Stigma (2.7-)2.8 times longer than broad, r x arising distally from middle A. gobicus sp. n. 1. Body 9 çf : 1.9-2 mm long, relatively slender. 2. Penultimate joint of female antenna one-and-half times longer than broad (6:4) 3. Stigma 2.6 times longer thang broad, r x arising from middle of stigma. D 2
