Figs. 10-13. Apanteles cacoeciae RILEY $ : 10 = scutellum, 11 — part of right fore wing,. 12 = nervellus of left hind wing, 13 = tergites 1-2. A. phaloniae WÏLK. 1. 1st tergite parallelsided throughout. Ratio of its length to fore and hind width as 28-30 : 20 : 20 2. Hind horizontal half of tergite 1 "... with pronounced satiny sheen and with less indication of raised rugosities, its surface characteristically smooth and with only merest trace of punctation" (NIXON 1972: 715). 3. Head rather rounded (in front). 4. "Mesonotum throughout with closely placed punctation, narrowly across extreme apex entirely smooth;..." (WILKINSON 1940: 24). 5. Hind tibial spurs equal in length, as long as half basitarsus. 6. Ovipositor sheath as long as tarsal joints l-2(-3) of 3rd leg, markedly downcurved towards apex . . ." (NIXON 1. c.) and widening apically. 7. Penultimate joint of antenna subcubic, its length to breadth as 7 : 6 A. bersus sp. n. 1. 1st tergite very slightly widening posteriorly and somewhat rounded at rear. Ratio of its length tofore and hind width as 34-35 : 28 : 30 (Fig. 9). 2. Hind horizontal half of tergite 1 with rugo-rugulosities, shiny without any satin sheen. 3. Head rather transverse (in front). 4. Mesonotum with not so closely placed punctation, interspaces slightly but obviusly increasing posteriorly, before prescutellar furrow punctation weakening and interspaces gradually becoming bigger. 5. Hind tibial spurs equal in length but somewhat shorter than half basitarsus. 6. Ovipositor sheath as long as 3rd tibia + half basitarsus, evenly downcurved and hardly wiedening apically. 7. Penultimate joint of antenna slightly longer than broad, its length to breadth as 5.5-6:4. Length 2.8 mm. — rf and host unknown. A. bersus sp. n. is a representative of the laevigatus-growp (NIXON 1965, 1973).
