Figs. 6-9. Apanteles bersus sp. n. Q : 6 = scutellum, 7 = part of right fore wing, 8 = nervellus of left hind wing, 9 = tergites 1-2. 2. Mesonotum with not closely set punctation, i. e., interspaces at least as long as punctures, notauli distinct by crowded and somewhat stronger punctation, i. e., interspaces more or less shorter than punctures 3. Scutellum as wide at base as long (Fig. 10). 4. Nervellus (= basella) of hind wing almost straight (Fig. 12). 5. Two spurs of 2nd tibia hardly Subequal, inner one as long as half basitarsus, outer one minutely shorter. 6. Tergite 1 broad with subparallel sides, ratio of its length to basal and apical width as 42 : 38-36 : 35. Tergite 2 relatively less transverse (Fig. 13). 7. Ovipositor sheath broad, apically pointed. 2. Mesonotum with not closely set punctation (similar to A. cacoeciae), notauli entirely indistinct. 3. Scutellum longer than -wide at base (Fig. 6). 4. Nervellus of hind wing arched (Fig. 8). 5. Two spurs of 2nd tibia clearly unequal, inner one as long as half basitasus, outer one much shorter. 6. Tergite 1 very slightly widening posteriorly and somewhat rounded at rear, ratio of its length to basal and apical width as 34-35 : 28 : 30. Tergite 2 relatively more transverse (Fig. 9) 7. Ovipositor sheath narrow, apically not pointed . Disregarding body colour, in further respects the two species agree with each other. Colour of the new species : Body and antenna black. Mandible brown, palpi pale yellow. Legs black with rich yellow pattern. Leg 1 yellow except dark coxa and dark base of femur. Apex of femur 2 and promixal half of tibiae 2-3 yellow. Spurs pale. Wings hyaline, stigma opaque yellowish brown, its basal third pale yellow. Metacarp brown, n + cuqui somewhat lighter than stigma, other veins with rather light brownish yellow pigmentation. Also near to A. phaloniae WILK. (England; WILKINSON 1940), but differs from it in the following features:
