CARDIOCHILINAE Cardiochiles semenovi KOK. — Hitherto recorded only from locus typicus (China, Prov. Hanshu: Nanping). New to the fauna of Mongolia. Locality. MICROGASTERINAE Apanteles appellator TEL. —- A. litae NIXON is very similar to A. appellator TEL. The difference between the two species seems very slight : A. appellator TEL. 1. Stigma entirely yellow. 2. Ovipositor sheath as long as two-thirds to three-fourths of hind tibia. 3". 1st tergite 1.3 times longer than wide at rear. A. litae NIXON 1. Stigma brown with basal pale spot. 2. Ovipositor sheath as long as hind tibia. 3. 1st tergite 1.2(-1.3) times longer than wide at rear. Apanteles artissimus PAPP Apanteles artissimus PAPP, 1971, Ann. Hist.-nat. Mus. Nat. Hung., 63:312, $ çf . Apanteles abila NIXON, 1972, Bull. ent. Res., 61: 728, $, syn. n. I have seen the Finnish female paratype of A. abila which agrees in all impor­tant respects with holotype of A. artissimus so much so that the two original de­scriptions coincide with each other, consequently, I consider the name abila as a junior synonym of my species name artissimus. Distributed in Europe (Sweden, Finland, Germany, England) and Mongolia. Apanteles assimilis sp. n. Çc/ (Figs. 1—5) 9- Body 2.8-3.1 mm, usually 3 mm long. Head (from above) transverse, more than twice as wide as long (44-45 : 20, x 65) ; its width (in front, Fig. 1) only somewhat greater than its height, below somewhat lengthened. Eyes somewhat protruding from the outline of head, head behind eyes rounded, constricted. Short (horizontal) diameter of eye one-third longer than greatest width of tempóra (12: 8, in lateral view). Ocelli small, round, hind imaginary tangent to fore ocellus slightly before or just touching hind two ocelli. Distance between fore and a hind ocelli equal with diameter of hind ocellus, POL = OOL. Face wider than high (Fig. 1), ratio of its height to upper and lower width as 25 : 35 : 34 ( x 100), smooth or almost smooth, shiny. Inner margin of eyes parallel. Cheek (in lateral view) as long as basal width of mandible, therefore oral part of head somewhat lengthened (in front, Fig. 1)* Antenna! socket and frons alutaceous, shiny. Vetex occiput, and
