Figs. 1-5. Apanteles assimilis sp. n. $ rf : 1 = head (in front), 2 = part of right fore wing ( Q ), 3 = nervelhis of hind wing, 4 = tergites 1-3, 5 = hypopygium and ovipositor sheath (9) tempóra densely alutaceous to subrugulose, dull. Antenna shorter than body, usually as long as head, thorax, and half abdomen. First flagellar joints ( = 3rd antennái joint) 2.5 times longer than broad (in front), further joints slightly shortening and attenuating so that penultimate joint 1.66 times longer than broad, last joint pointed. Thoracic length, width, and height as 60-65 : 40-42 : 45 (x63). Disc of mesonotum shiny to subshiny with shallow, fine, and rather dense punctation, interspaces at least as long as diameter of punctures, notauli indistinct. Declivous part of mesonotum punctate-subrugulose, dull. Prescutellar furrow narrow, crenulated. Scutellum with similar punctation to mesonotum, but interspaces somewhat grater, shiny to subshiny. Polished lateral field of scutellum reaching anteriorly beyond middle of scutellum, surface before it rugulose. Propodeum almost evenly rugose, its upper (horizontal) fifth more or less smooth. Anterior half of mesopleura punctated (punctatures somewhat greater than that of mesonotum), its posterior half polished. Hind coxa as long as tergites 1-2. Two spurs of hind tibia subequal or equal in length, inner spur as long as (or slightly longer than) half basitarsus. Hind basitarsus relatively long, 0.7-072 as long as tarsal joints 2-5 together (25:3532, x63). Fore wing as long as body. Stigma 2.5 times (exceptionally 3 times) longer than broad (44-45 : 18, x 100), r emitted distally from its middle (Fig. 2). Metacarp short, somewhat shorter than length of stigma, and its length equal with distance from the tip of r% (or radial cell), ri and cuqu x equal in length (or n slightly shorter),
