Distribution : Widely distributed over the Palaeartic Region. 31. Pemphredon (Cemonus) schuckardi (MORAW., 1864) Pemphredon (Dineurus) schuckardi: TSUNEKI, 1951, p. 190. Pemphredon (Cemonus) schuckardi: TSUNEKI, 1963b, p. 28. Specimens examined: 2 9> Prov. South Pyongan, Pyongyan, Hotel garden, 7 — 8. VIII. 1971 (No. 150); 1 9, do., 15. VIII. 1971 (No. 177); 1 9, do., 23. VIII. 1971 (No. 193). Distribution: Widely distributed over the Palaeartic Region. 32. Passaloecus clypealis FAESTER, 1947 Passaloecus clypealis: TSUNEKI, 1973, p. 27. Specimen examined: 1 çf, Prov. South Pyongan, Chang-lvong san, 50 km N of Pyongyan, 13. VIH. 1971 (No. 169). Distribution : Known from Europe and Japan, new to the fauna of Korea. Remarks. — In the specimen examined the labrum is pale brown, with the whitish medial area. Moreover, the right mesopleuron has a fairly distinct (though short) upper longitudinal groove. Thus the specimen appears at first sight quite puzzling. 33. Passaloecus annulatus koreanus ssp. n. $ çf (Figs. 8, 10, 12, 13) Most closely allied to the Japanese race of this species (P. a. nipponicola TSUN. 1955a, p. 13) than to the typical race occurring in U. S. A. The Asiatic races of this species have the face relatively much longer, with the clypeus more markedly produced anteriorly and the body generally larger. The Korean race can be distinguished from the Japanese one by the following differences: Legs are more broadly darkened (Qçf), collar of pronotum is strongly toothed at antero-lateral corners (Qçf), the sides of the propodeum are more distinctly, finely and closely striate (9c/) ( m the compared race the striation is more or less varied, but this is the averaged tendency) and the antennae (çf) are much more brightly annulated. çf. Length 4.5 mm. Black; palpi, pronotal tubercles and basal rings of hind, tibiae ivory white, mandibles pale brownish yellow, with apex and outer margin dark brown (in the typical and the Japanese races outer margin not darkened), antennái flagellum broadly yellowish (Fig. 8, cf. Fig. 9 in P. a. nipponicola). Legs ferruginous, with the following parts dark brown or black: Coxae except apex, greater part of trochanters, fore femora broadly above and beneath, middle femora except apex and a broad streak in front, hind femora except base and apex narrowly and hind tibiae on apical 2/3 except the inside. Fore and middle tibiae externally and hind tibiae apically on inside deep brownish and all tarsi apically more or less darkened. Head seen in profile : Fig. 10 (in P. a. nipponicola similar and in the typical race as in Fig. 11), antenna with tyloidea on joints 4—12 (in P. a. nipponicola usually on 4—-9 and in the typical race usually on 5—8), clypeus: Fig. 12, less strongly produced than in nipponicola, but more strongly so than in P. annulatus
