Papp, J.: New Apanteles Först. species from Hungary (Hymenoptera, Braconidae: Microgasterinae), I
Nearest to A. urgo Nix. (Cyprus) and A. biitalidis MARSH. (Europe) ; it differs from both species by the combination of the following features : eyes converging below, propodeum densely rugulose, sternauli hardly impressed, form and sculpture of tergite 1 (Fig. 16), hypopygium long, with few creases (Fig. 17). The new species is dedicated to Dr. J. B. SZABÓ, my friend and excellent Hungarian specialist of the Proctotrupoidea (Hymenoptera). Apanteles szelenyii sp. n. Ç (Figs. 18-20) Ç. Difficult to delimit from A. ingenuus TOB. (Kazakhstan, Hungary). The description of this taxon (TOBIAS 1964) concurs in many respects with the specimens at hand, however, the differences are of specific value. They are as follows. A. szelenyii sp. n. 1. Length 2.8-3 mm. 2. Ratio of facial height, upper and lower width as 8: 14.5 :13. 3. Eye twice higher than wide, ratio of its height to width as 14: 7. 4. Mesonotum (from above) slightly wider than long, ratio of its width (between tegulae) to length as 22:20. 5. Declivous part of propodeum densely alutaceous to coriaceous (exceptionally rugulose) in variable extent. 6. r 1 1.6 times longer than cuqu v 5:3 (Fig. 18). 7. Tergite 1 1.4-1.45 times (Fig. 19) (exceptionally 1.6 times) longer than wide at rear, ratio of its length to fore and hind width as 13:7.5 (-8) : 4(-5). 8. Inner spur of hind tibia hardly shorter than half basitarsus (6-6.5: 13). 9. End of hypopygium with small spinule (Fig. 20). A. ingenuus TOB. 1. Length 1.7-2.3 mm. 2. Ratio of facial height, upper and lower width as 7:12:11. 3. Eye not twice higher than wide, ratio of its height to width as 12:7. 4. Mesonotum wider than long, ratio of its width to length as 18: 15 (paratypes from Kazakhstan) and 23:18 (Hungarian specimens). 5. Propodeum polished, without any sculpture. 6. t\ about length of cugu l 3:3-4. 7. Tergite 1. 1.7 times longer than wide at rear, ratio of its length to fore and hind width as 12: 7: 4. 8. Inner spur of hind tibia shorter than half basitarsus (5:12). 9. End of hypopygium without any spinule. Also similar to A. corvinus REINH., yet the new species differs mainly by the following characteristics : A. szelenyii sp. n. A. corvinus REINH. 1. .Mesonotum minutely wider than 1. Mesonotum normal, noticeably long ("elongated"), ratio of its wider than long, ratio of its width
