A pe­culiarly shaped spina appeared in one female skull, and it was absent in another (also female) cranium. * * * Finally, the criteria found with respect to two characteristics, namely sexual dimorphism and age mentioned in the introduction and concerning the diverse palatal features (length, width, index, depth, correlation between width and depth, size of the spina nasalis posterior) discussed in the present paper, should be summarized on the ground of the analysis made on a sample of 729 skulls deriving from various localities in Hungary and from the sixth to fifteenth cen­turies.
