Gentropus s. superciliosus HEMPK. & EHR. 1 (unsex) Inhabiting NE Africa; the specimen captured originates from the southern confines of its range. Fam. Musophagidae 6. Corythaixoides leucogaster RTJPP. 5 (unsex) An East African species; common. 7. Gymnoschizorchis personata centralis NETJM. 3 (unsex) A Central African bird of a relatively small range, but not rare in the area under discussion. Fam. Psittacidae 8. Poicephalus meyeri matschiei NETJM. 3 (nsex) Of a limited range, hardly occurring outside of Tanganyika, but not rare in that region. Fam. Coraciidae 9. Goracias spatulata TRIMEN 2 (unsex) Inhabiting the southern parts of Central Africa. The collected specimens originate from the northernmost confines of its range. Not frequent. 10. Goracias c. caudata L. 3 (unsex) Of a considerably wider range and more frequent than the preceding species. 11. Melittophagus pusillus meridionalis SHARPE 8 (3 çf 5 $ ) Everywhere very common in East Africa. 15. Melittophagus bulockoides SMITH 3 ( $) Not rare in East Africa, but a very local species. Fam. Bucerotidae 16. Tockus e. erythrorhynchus TEMM. 5 (unsex) Generally distributed and frequent in East Africa. Fam. Phoeniculidae 17. Phoeniculus purpur eus marwitzi REICHW. 2 (unsex) A typically East African bird, not rare in the area of collecting. 18. Ehinopomastus cyanomelas schalowi NEUM. 4 (2 çf 2 $) Frequent in rather the southern parts of East Africa, but rarer in the Equatorial sections.
