Proximal arm of sternum IX (Fig. 2) straight and rather narrow; distal arm also straight, tapering to a pointed apex and with a small number of setae at the apical end of the ventral margin. Sensilium (Fig. 1) dorsally very slightly convex, with 22 trichobothria each side. Phallosome (Fig. 3): aedeagal apodeme of medium width, with a rounded apex; tendons of phallosome short, not reaching beyond the apex of the apo­deme; inner tube of aedeagus short and rather indistinct. Length: c? — 3 mm. This new species is named in honour of the collector, G YÖRGY T OPÁI.. Family Stephanocireidae Barreropsylla excelsa JORDAN, 1953 (Fig. 4).
