Russula sanguinea Fr. ex Bull. A frequent or rather frequent species of the pine forests in Europe. It was found only sporadically in Hungary till now. Nagyszénás, Ubrizsy (1956). Mycocoenological survey data (Bohus&Babos 1958) : in Pineto-Quercetum, 12—13 August 1958, Szakonyfalu, Com. Vas. Russula sardonia Fr. (=R, drimeia Cke.) This species occurs in the greatest part of Europe, bound to coniferous (Pinns) forests, fructifying frequently in masses. It is absent from certain territories. In Hungary, it is a relatively rare fungus, occurring in small quantities. Herb. : in pineto culto, 31 Oct. 1954, leg. Kalmár, 24 Sept., 29 Oct. 1955, leg. Bohus & B a b o s, Mt. Csúcshegy, Mts. R. drimeia: Szarvas Com. Békés, in Pepi­arboretum, Ubrizsy (1956). Russula sardonia Fr. var. torulosa (Bres.) J. Schff. We concur in S c h a e f f e r's opinion that this form is an oecological variety of R, sardonia. There are two literature data on its single occurrence in Hungary. Lit. : in the Mts. Buda : Hűvösvölgy, sub Pino (Bohus) R. Moesz (1942), sub nom. R. torulosa : Bohus (1943). Russula Solaris Ferdin. & Winge It is noted from some few countries in Europe (Germany, England, Den­mark, France). Rare in Hungary. Herb. : in the Mts. Zemplén: in Luzulo-Quercetum subcarpaticum fagetosum, 7. August 1960, Mt. Kiskerekhegy, leg. Bohus&Babos Lit. : Sopron (L e n k y) Kalmár (1956—57). Russula sororia Fr. It is a rare or absent fungus species from Europe, with the exception of some areas, where it is occasionally frequent. It occurs rarely also in Hungary. Herb. : in the Mts. Buda : in Querceto petraeae-Carpinetum pannonicum, 21 July 1948, around Mi. Hársbokorhegy. leg. B o bus; in silva mixta, 1 August 1959, Mt. Csúcshegy, leg. Bohus&Babos; in the Mts. Bükk : in silva frondosa, 18 July 1955, around Felsőtárkány, leg. Bohus&Babos.
