The Results of the Zoological Collecting Trip to Egypt in 1957, of the Natural History Museum, Budapest 6. Egyptian Microlepid optera. Part I. By L. GOZMÁNY, Budapest The zoological collecting trip — organized by the Hungarian Natural History Museum — to Egypt in 1957, brought home a collection of Microlepidoptera too of which not a few proved to be new taxa. Owing to the rather short time at my disposal to completely work out the whole material, I am now publishing but a few of my findings, leaving the larger part of the material (identified or partly so) to be worked out next year, at which time I will also describe every pertinent circumstance of the collecting (localities, seasonal influences, collecting methods and observations, etc.). I hasten, however, to publish some of the new species and genera for the very good cause of paying my tribute to all those men who made possible the organization and launching of the first official Hungarian zoological expedition. Borosia gen. n. Head with some scales on irons ; antennae of male with large basal joint and bilateral tuft of scales on first segments (expanded fan-like on both sides) ; labial palpi porrect, second joint loosely and sparsely scaled, third pointing downward, subacuminate, half as long as second ; no maxillary palpi visible (fig. 1 : A —C). Hindwing broad, pointed. Venation : sc-f-rr on medium long stalk, cell short, m 2 , 3 on long stalk, cu x from lower elongated angle of cell (fig. 1: D). Near Phycita Rag., (Phycitidae), but this genus has its labial palpi appressed to its face and also curving sharply upward, the basal tuft of its antennae is unilateral, r 2 on its forewings well separate from the common stalk of r 3+4 . Generotype : aegyptiaca sp. n. Dedicated to dr. I. Boros, Chief Director of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, the organizer of the first official Hungarian zoological expedition. J Borosia aegyptiaca sp. n. Alar expanse : 16 mm.
