36. Alexander Fraser: Hamilton Palace to Chatelherault Park. Budapest, Museum of Fine Arts. Detail bought later in her motherland or received as a gift. 9 In her will however, done in 1916, the picture is not included. 10 Her husband had a reputation of being a worthy horse-breeder and sportsman. Several relatives and men of title were entertained at their house, and members of the English royal family coming to hunt were also received a number of times, including a visit by the later Edward VII. The collections of the Museum of Fine Arts hold another painting that can be connected with the heritage of the Lady. This picture, acquired as an anonymous gift in 1951 (fig. 36), was signed and entitled Hamilton Palace to Chatelherault Park 9 The Lady acquired two commodes and a table at the 1888 London sale of the contents of the Hamilton Palace in Hamilton. Today only one commodes can be found of these, for which see Szabolcsi, H., Deux commodes de laque françaises d'époque Louis XV au Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Az Iparművészeti Múzeum Évkönyvei 3-4 (1959) 27-33. 10 Hungarian National Archives, Archives of the Festetics Family, P. 254, b. 1., 1 -2. She left directions about securities, a house in Vienna (Metternich Gasse 12), jewellery, four tapestries in the Festetics's Pest palace, articles belonging to his son born of her first marriage, charitable gifts, and her restingplace. The ignorant inventory drawn up in 1911 of the freely disposable (i. e. non-fee-tailed) contents of the Keszthely palace (Hungarian National Archives, Archives of the Festetics Family, P. 236, b. 90) proved to be inappropriate for identification.
