Services
• Open air theatre In the amphitheatre, situated in picturesque surroundings, we organise plays, concerts and folk dance shows in summer. Information about the program can be found in the current brochure. • Natural surroundings, recreational areas Our museum is situated in the Pilis Mountains, within the territory of the Duna-Ipoly Natural Park. The surrounding landscape of the valley and the Sztaravoda fountain is of exceptional natural value. Here, the original fauna lives undisturbed in the forests which flank the valley. From early spring to late autumn, different protected flowers, bushes, trees and plants grow. (Primrose, maidenhair orchid) Visitors can see protected plants and get to know them through our Study Path program. Lucky visitors can come across deer; fox or rabbit. In the foliage of trees they can watch squirrels or take pleasure in the songs of protected birds. In the meadows and groves of the museum you can have a pleasant walk or peaceful relaxation and children can play freely. Tired visitors can rest in the shady recreational areas besides the regional units. Drinking water is available from designated taps. Except for the designated areas, smoking is prohibited throughout the whole museum! • Skanzen knowledge You can find out about the maintenance and renovation of vernacular buildings online at: muteremiasznm.hu
