Various sizes of vessels for mea­suring quantities, made out of split wood or staves, „véka" („bu­shel"), its half and quarter size are kept in the bin. Wooden dishes turned out of pine, a large canvas thrown over a rod, earthenware pottery not in use are also kept in the bin. In front of the door, there is a hand-mill which is placed outside so that neighbours should also be able to use it. The pigsty („disznóól") (2—3), standing between the house and the stable, was built out of logs around 1870, and contains two com­partments: one called „front sty" and the other „back sty", or „sty for piglets", „sty for fattening". The run in front is made of stones brought from Hömlöc (111. 31). 44
